Plant Classification Information and Videos
FACTS
Nonvascular plants absorb water like a sponge soaks up water, and must live close to water. They do not grow very tall.
Vascular plants have tissues that transport water through the plant. These grow tall, and do not have to live close to the water.
Gymnosperms are vascular plants that produce seeds but not flowers and fruits.
Angiosperms are vascular plants that produce flowers. The flowers make seeds as well as fruits.
Both gymnosperms and angiosperms produce pollen.
